Everything Lexington asks us most, from stairs and access to long-distance and deposits.
We are licensed and insured in Kentucky, we run our own trucks and W-2 crew instead of day labor or a broker, and we quote one flat rate in writing. The “plus” is the extras done without the extra bill: reassembly, careful wrapping, and the tricky pieces handled as part of the price.
All the time, it comes with the territory in the Bluegrass. If a full-size truck cannot make a gravel farm lane or a tight gate, we shuttle your things out with a smaller vehicle, and we sort the gate codes and HOA move-in rules ahead of the day.
Every week. Student apartments near UK, garden-style units, and older downtown walk-ups are routine for us, so tight stair turns and narrow landings are all in a day's work. The flights are built into your flat rate, not sprung on you at the curb.
Yes, though the smart move is to book early. Mid-August around the University of Kentucky and Transylvania is our busiest window and it fills quickly, so reserve as far out as you can. A last-minute job can still work when a crew has an opening.
Your load stays on one truck with one crew from the day we pick up to the day we deliver, with no warehouse transfer and nobody sold off to a broker. You get the price on paper and a delivery date we commit to, whether you land in Nashville, Cincinnati, or clear across the country.
We can pack the whole house or just the fragile things, using proper cartons, paper, bubble, and pads, marked by room. The packing is quoted into your written estimate at the start, not counted up carton by carton later.
Very. We build the flat rate from your room count, the stairs and access at each end, and the distance. Provided the job is what you described, that number is what you pay at the finish.
Every piece gets blankets and shrink-wrap, the doorframes and railings get padding, and floor runners go down before anything is carried, whether that is a historic Ashland Park home or a walk-up near campus.
A week or two gives everyone room, and the end of the month, weekends, and the August campus rush go first. That said, same-week and next-day jobs often work when a crew is open, so it never hurts to call.
Seven days a week, year round. Bluegrass summers get hot and humid, so we start early and pace the crew, and winter ice storms get treated with care, footing kept slow and a reschedule only if the roads turn unsafe.
Just a small, refundable amount to reserve your date and your crew. You settle the rest once the work is done and you have signed off on the flat rate, and quoting you never costs a thing.
We do those all the time. The right boards, dollies, straps, and ramps come with us for uprights and grands, loaded safes, gym rigs, and spas, and that heavy-item work is written into your flat rate from the first quote.
All of Lexington and Fayette County, plus the Bluegrass towns around it, Nicholasville, Georgetown, Richmond, Winchester, Versailles, Frankfort, Paris, and Danville, along with long-distance moves out of state. Not sure about your town? Just ask.
Call or text (859) 407-2158 and a real crew member will walk you through it, then send a written flat rate.
